Newspaper references
Teachers and students can access Newspaper references from this page to support the four themed lessons.
Please note, apart from the articles supplied by kind permission of the Leicester Mercury and Melton Times, due to copyright restrictions we are only able to provide you with the references to relevant newspaper articles.
However, we would encourage you to use the full range of articles to support the lesson plans. Melton Carnegie Museum has many of the orginal articles on file or you could try the British Library's on-line Newspaper catalogue at www.bl.uk/catalogues/newspapers.html.
In addition, you can also visit the websites of the newspapers and a number of organisations involved in the hunting debate such as the Countryside Alliance and the Hunt Saboteurs Association to view their press releases or newspaper archives. See the document Useful websites for more details.
